My life has been shaped by a passion for public service.

I believe policy professionals play a critical role in ensuring people have a strong quality of life that is aligned with community character. The decisions we make today not only impact us, but also future generations. There is a lot at stake.

As Wendell Berry stated: “The Earth is what we all have in common.”

Our development choices shape our built environment, so it is critical that we plan in a way that furthers climate resilience and protects our treasured environmental resources. In addition, policies that further public health and safety, and strategic economic development are necessary for communities to thrive.

I have experience bringing together a wide variety of stakeholders to facilitate participatory planning that considers all perspectives. I have technical and analytical expertise that allows me to be detail-oriented with identifying issues.

My policy background also helps me see the bigger picture and how to leverage professional relationships across the state to solve problems and address some of our most pressing societal challenges.

I ultimately strive to alleviate suffering through community-based work that respects the dignity of all people. I believe compassion and empathy are critical now more than ever and these values underpin my approach to policy and planning.

“We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community.”
